Cassin Fur Cassin Bridal
Cassin Evening
This Fall/Winter 2009 collection was inspired by the colors of the forest and the wildlife that lives within…greens, blues, grays and browns…rich, saturated organic shades such as teak, earth, mallard, dark green, teal and absinthe…

Fox, beaver, raccoon and muskrat – all known as the wild furs – further reinforce the feeling of naturalness but with sophistication and a touch of glamour…the juxposition of a rustic or natural fur interpreted with refinement gives fur a more modern edge.

Natural muskrat is treated in a new way by using the classic artisan technique of letting-out just like a fine mink coat…giving it a completely new look.

Mink Pave is the foundation of the collection interpreted into the key silhouettes of the season…the funnel neck wedge and the softly shaped cocoon both frame the face in an understated but dramatic way.
Cashmere sweater coats trimmed with fur in a very new technique is the House’s favorite way of mixing a comfortable lifestyle with a touch of luxury…these pieces are “wearable collectables”.

The “great third piece” has always been the brand’s mission…besides beautiful coats and jackets, the fur vest is number one this season followed closely by the House’s iconic ponchos and body blankets…furry hats, wraps and cowls round out the presentation.

“Always reinventing new ways to wear fur is my passion and continues to inspire me every season…we take fur and treat it like a yarn and a textile which allows us to create modern clothes in incredible natural organic materials”…says Sherry Cassin.
